Alan Hargrove
photographer
My name is Alan Hargrove, I am 31 years old, and based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. I grew up in the small town of Hartland (home of the Longest Covered Bridge in the World), playing sports, riding dirt bikes, and flipping burgers at Dairy Queen. As a kid, photography was something I wanted to try. The ability to show something only the way you see it and the ability to be creative always intrigued me.
I graduated high school from Hartland Community School in 2011 and later went on to graduate from post-secondary education with a degree in Digital Media and Graphic Design in 2012. During this time, I picked up a camera for the first time and started shooting anything and everything. Since then, I have found a love for photographing couples and weddings.
Being able to capture those real, raw, authentic moments and emotions is what makes this job so great.
I worked in marketing for several years before I shot my first wedding in 2017. Since then, I have shot over 60 weddings and began doing it full-time in June 2021. My photography has been featured on Wedding Atlantic, Photobug Community, and more. When I am not shooting you can find me at the movie theatre, sipping my morning coffee, or pacing in front of the TV watching Formula 1.
My philosophy is simple, I want to showcase who you are, as you are, and all the little things in between. But, let’s have some fun doing it. The photos are important, and so is the experience. I want you to leave your session or your big day feeling confident in your choice of me and to be as excited as I am to be working with you.
